You may have the impression that Royal Doulton Figurines were produced on an
assebly line and decorated by a spray gun just as your new Ford or Chevrolet came
off the line. Nothing could be further from the truth.
In this example, we are showing "Blue Beard", HN 2105:
Note the Backstamps: They differ in size, font and type
Note the Skirt, not even close to being the same. The example on the left
looks like the surface of the Moon. The Sache or Scarf are completely different.
The artist who did the painting had to be color blind.
Note: These items were supposed to be exactly the same
Note: First you put your right foot out in space, then you put your left foot with
style and grace.
These Dudes were supposed to be twins (they're not even close -
different color scheme, different heights)
Where was quality control?
Back to back they faced eachother, Drew their swords and shot each other
Where that came from I don't know
Note: The variation in size
These examples should impress you with the fact that not all items with the same
HN Number are the same. Be careful when you buy that the items are well colored.
Look at a few examples to decide on the correct color scheme.
