Description: The Royal Doulton HMS Ajax ship's figurehead - HN 2908 - RARE -
RARE - RARE. Ajax was created in 1980. The Ajax was a British 74 gun ship of
the line - one of the sailing warships that formed the backbone of the Royal Navy.
Built in 1809, the Ajax won battle honours at San Sabastian in 1813 and the Baltic
in 1854-1855. The Ajax is complete with presentation box.

RARE - RARE was designed by S. Keenan in 1981 in a limited edition of 950. It is 8 3/4"
tall with colors of Blue, Gold and Green.++

Description: HN2930 "Pocahontas" represents the north american Indian Princess Pochahontas.
Attributed to the American ship carver William Rush and active betwen 1800-1820.
The original is in the Kendall Whaling museum, Sharon, Massachusetts.
Designer: S. Keenan and measures 8 3/4" tall is colored Green and Brown, Produced
in 1982 in a limited edition of 950.

Description: A Royal Doulton figure entitled Lalla Rookh, from the Ship's figure-
heads series was designed by S. Keenan. This model was issued in 1981 as part of
a limited edition of 950.
The figurehead is modelled leaning forward on a dolphin and seashell base wearing
a turban style headress and robes and holding a candle. Using a palette of gold, blue,
purple and red. Measures approximately 9 1/4" high.
The figurehead represents a high caste Indian Lady. Lalla Rookh adorned the "Lalla
Rookh" clipper ship built in Liverpool in 1856 for the China tea trade. She was wrecked
on the March 3, 1873.

Description: The ship Mary Queen of Scots, was built in 1887 by John Reid of Glasgow.
She was four masted barque trading around Cape of Horn to South America. This
model figurehead was one of two produced in 1981. This is a particularly beautiful piece
and can be difficult to locate. She was designed by S. Keenan and measures 8 3/4" tall is
colored Purple, Red and White, Produced in 1983 in a limited edition of 950.
