Doulton Lambeth Ink Bottles
These little gems were widely used in shops as well as schools. They were filled using Master
Ink Bottles as illustrated below.
Item No: A623
Description: This Salt Glaze bottle stands 7 1/4" tall. It was considered a "master ink"
and was used to fill other smaller bottles. It is impressed Doulton. This particular shape
was known as the "Church Warden". The Table of registration marks does not list the
the design shown above. I suspect it was made c. 1876.
